Conscience is an inevitable feature in a human being i.e. every human is born with it. Someone has described conscience as a fan in the human body which has a sharp end, each time a man sins, the "fan" in him rolls and he/she is pricked by the sharp end. The more an individual commits a sin, the more often the fan turns and is pricked by the end. However, when it gets to a point, the fan continues to roll, but the individual feels no pain because the sharp end has become blunt, as a result of consistent inconsistency. As a child of God you have both the conscience and the Holy Spirit to guide you when you are about to make a mistake or right after you have done it. Just like the "sharp end", the Holy spirit warns you but when you don't listen to him, he leaves you to do your wish until you get yourself into a big problem. Am gonna ask, is the sharp end of your fan still very much sharp, getting blunt or totally blunt? If you are in the first category, I pray that God'll help you to remain steadfast. If you belong to the second and third category, there is still a way out of it, because God is a merciful God. All you need do is, go to Him, acknowledge that you've missed it and wanna get back on track, do this with all sincerity and truthfulness and am sure God will answer you. Shallom.
